need your help, some one was teling me that if you mix salt water and lemmon juice, and spray it on my dreads it will make them lock up better. eny on ever do this? and if so you know a site with somthin on it, dreadheadhq and knottyboy dont seem to say eny thing

well, lemon juice is an acid and salt is alkaline. I think the lemon will turn your hair a lighter colour. The salt will prolly make your scalp dry and itchy. I'm not sure. why not ask a hippie?

Yeah, dont use too much at first cuz of the acidity and all....but have shampoo and shit ready incase it makes it worse, thats all i can think of.

i never tryed it but from what i read its just salt... lemon i think is for the itches.

anyway just mix like 10 parts water to 1 part salt and put it in a spray botle. spray it on the dreads. but try not to get it on your scalp. it will dry it out.

hopefully i will ahve pictures of my dreadies soon

"You can make a safe and effective lock accelerator solution yourself by adding the juice of one lemon or a dash of RealLemon to a sprayer bottle full of warm to hot water and 2 to 3 tablespoons of sea salt, shake well, and spray a few times a week. Spray only on your dreads, not on your scalp as sometimes the drying sea salt can cause scalp irritation and itch. This solution can be adjusted to your need, but don't make it too strong or you'll burn your scalp off!"

also don't spray them down and then let it completely dry...they recommend spraying them quite a bit but then drying them off a bit so it doesn't like run down the side of ur face
