My 04 Super-Ts are cursed (Big piles of poo)

I have been on other peoples bikes, and all of them have wonderful smooth super-Ts, my new 04s are horrible, I've tried everything.
When I first got them, they had to go straight back to Norco, because the steerer was not pressed in right.
Once I had allowed a suitable break in period, it still felt like there was a lot of stiction which caused the for to spike on high speed hits. I decided to change the oil after 10 rides and it was suitably dirty, I put new oil in and did two rides with little improvement, except now my forks were really loud and were rattling. When I got home, I pulled out the sprongs and the oil in the HSCV leg was black again! I drained the leg, dismantled it and cleaned thoroughly, now two rides later, the oil needs changing again, and I still have the spiking...
One possible problem, is my old formula QR20 hub. It looks like the bearing cups may be worn, and could be pinching the lowers together, is that a possibility? Failing that I have no clue.

Any ideas?

I definitely think so, I'd try changing the bearings.

Borrow someones front wheel and go for a ride!
Does it feel like theres any play in the bushings or any wear marks on the stantions?

If the oil is getting so dirty so fast, could your seals be old and worn?

If the lowers are really being pintched together, that might leave a gap in the seal to let dirt in?

lastly, have you noticed any metal bits or anything else in the oil after you drain the fork?

Like you have noticed on your friends rides....Super-T's are pretty sweet SO ya...I'd agree you certainly have a problem with something there. Try to borrow a wheel from one of your friends with a "good" Super for a few rides... see how that is...

I will borrow someones wheel and try it.
There is more play than i would expect from a new fork, but I don't know what's normal, but there is no markings on the stanchions and the seals are working fine (the area between the dust wiper and seals is clean). There is no metal filings in the bottom of the fork that I have seen.
The wheel bearings are fine, the problem is on the formula hubs, there are 2 cups that allow the fork to preload the bearings, and these cups could have deformed after 4 years of use.
