just did a oil change on mine and i filled'er to max oil height, which i 175mm from the top(springs out of course).i sent a email to marz and that was what they told me.they also said to be carefull removing the top caps from the damper rods as they over tightened them when building them up.if you break the damper rod it will not be covered under warranty, but if a marz dealer breaks them they will be covered. little bit of a piss off, but i was getting new lowers so i let the shop dis-assemble them. it's a little different then previous years but not too much that one is stumped as to what to do.i have a marzocchi dis-assemble/re-assemble manual,so if you have any more questions fire away.
if you do it yourself you will likely have to make a damper rod holder so you can get everything apart. i made one out of wood then clamped it using a c-clamp.if you try to hold it with plyers or vise-grips you'll likely marr the rod.hope that all made sense. ps. i weigh about 150# and usually find max oil height best with prevoius marz forks, so i did the same here.as for clicks on rebound and compression, i've never counted.let me ride the fork with the new oil height and i'll re-post |
