04 super t springs?
just wondering if anyone knows the scoop on the 04 super t springs.i had a quick look in the norco cat and all it showed was 03 springs.I'm guessing 04 and 03 would be the same(32mm stanchions).that being the case, it showed only heavy, extra heavy and xx heavy...........the heavy is rated at 180-200 pounds.
what is a 120 pound rider supposed to do to achieve proper sag. I know that for older supers they offered a 120-140# springs. any tips or info would be great.thanks. Last edited by Bryan; 04-17-2004 at 06:54 PM. |

If you are only 120, keep the stock springs. Raise the oil height if you're bottoming.

What is the proper sag supposed to be any way? I should take my time one day and make my suspension feel good.

your not to far under the stock weight for medium springs... which is what should be stock in your fork...
i'd just keep em... lighter springs is more money then its worth... at least for your needs.... |

'03 and '04 Springs are the same.
For DH I've heard from as little as 25% (1 5/8") to around 35% (2 3/8") sag depending on preferance and riding style. Stock is sprung for around 160 - 185 ride, so you definetely would benifit from softer springs. There are two springs in each leg ... stock lower (short) spring is extra heavy (9.5k), stock upper (long spring) is a heavy (5k) spring and create a 3.27K spring rate (1/x + 1/x = 1/r) when combined. The uppers are the same springs used in 130mm, 32mm DJ3's, while the shorter lowers may be specific to the JuniorT / SuperT. The best thing to do is call Marzocchi as they'll be able to tell if you need to replace one or both sets of springs. Otherwise it's difficult to guess as the weight classifications for these spring (from the DJ series) isn't right when used in a two spring setup as in the JuniorT/SuperT.
