got in trouble with Canada boarder customs...penalty

got in trouble with Canada boarder customs...

So I did not declare some biking shoes in the back of the truck from recent shopping in the US and got the third degree at canada customs boarder crossing - the end result is i received a "administrative penalty" of $96. The customs inspector also said my name/license would now be in their system - and to not be surprised if i get pulled over more often when x-ing the boarder...

Anyone else share a similar experience ? Any idea if this is permanent? At all boarder crossings (not just car...but airlines too?)...

sigh.

You got bad timing man... the reason border patrols are so stringent now is because of the school bus bust.

You officially blacklisted... so that means.. they always check you through any crossings (plane or otherwise).

You do get off list after a while.. but it's a long long while.

welcome to the club. im not allowed across the border for the past few years because apparently my passport and birth certificate have been "doctored". last time i tried to cross the stopped me, asked me questions for about 20 minutes and then sent me back into Canada. apparently i am a terrorist or something to them.

You're on the list? Remind us not to send the Pot with you on your way down then eh!

I got to bring across 2 60's once instead of 40's....I told him we had 2 bottles, he asked what size...he says that's a 60 not 40 and I said I'm metric, sorry...and he says go ahead

the trick is to get your new stuff dirty and then you can dispute it.

im going up with my frame that needs warrenty, and coming back with a brand new unbuilt frame. that should be interesting.

ill have andy who wont have a passport, a new frame, and who the hell knows what else...

glad i wont be driving
