Question Lower Shock Mount at Kona Stinky: Progressive or Linear ?

Hi Guys,
Some days ago I swiched the lower shock mount on my stinky deelux to the progressive position(near to the seattube). I recognized that in the end of travel it feels more stiffer, not like going trough all the travel in linear position. So I thought the suspension suggests more travel...

How do you mount the lower Shock ?

the different mounts do not alter the travel. You were correct the first time, the different positions alter linear vs progressive.

Travel doesn't change.

It's a preference thing on how you like the shock to feel when it reaches the end of its stroke.

I tried both and prefer the progressive setting.

Yeah, I know that in both Postions the travel is 7". But I like the progressive position much more, cause i also added 10mm more Oil in my Junior T. So the Fork is a little bit progressive.

The new Bikes/Frames/Shocks most support a progressive postition/adjustment

I think on the pic, robbie b. has set the progressive position, too...

The oil height in the fork is something to play with. Not enough, and you'll go through the full travel quite easily, but have good small bump response throughout most of the travel. With above normal heights of oil, the fork ramps up really well at the end of stroke, but where it starts to ramp up you loose small bump response. So, getting the ramp up to start below the normal static thresh hold of where you are when you ride is optimal.
