I guess the point that I was trying to make is that you can get many tires with sticky/tacky compound in the 2.5/2,7 size that weight under 3lbs.

As for the EX 909, maybe they are great up at Whistler, but on the shore they are just a slippery tire with lots of rotational weight

What about the Intruder? That's suppose to be a good all-purpose loose/shitty conditions tire when you don't require a full-blown MUD tire. Anyone try the Intenuse Intruder?

yupo i got it it already...

i picked up a 26x2.5 but its kinda narrow... only measures out to 2.35 on my DBLwide...

but traction is everybit as good as my 909SR...

im actually gunna sell this tire to Mulletron...i have a 26x2.7 Intense 909SR comnig in...

i perfer to have matching tires...

i'd def recommend the Intruder if your looking for a great all year round tire, but it is heavy..

How does the 2.5 width compare to the 2.5 909? The same?

narrower... thats how i noticed it...

cuz i had the 909SR 2.5 first... and its a true 2.5 on the DBLwide..

then the Intruder came in, so i picked it up... mounted it adn notcied right away how narrow it seemed...

measured it up, adn sure enuf only 2.35 on the DBLwide...grrrr....

hopefully the 2.7 909SR is a wide one, i like the wide Intense footprint...

Yeah, the wide footprint is sexy. I'm an Intense man, like you are. The DH 2.7 looked freakin HUGE on my doublewide front. hell, my EX 909 Comp 60 looks kinda large on my doublewide compared to my D321 rear.....

The Intruder is probably narrower so that it sinks in and gets more of a bite. In soft sloppy conditions, wide tires tend slip and slide around on top of the muck.
