Is your Small 125/4hun frame too small for you?

Cuz it would fit my youngest Brother just fine
I told him to get a small...but they only had a medium and he really wanted a bike.
He's finally conceded that the frame is just too big for him, and he's only 11(maybe 12 )....so it's not like he's gonna grow into it real soon.
So...if you want/need a medium '03 125 frame.....we'll trade you for your small size frame. PM me...we'll talk

On the subject of HT frame sizing.....all you guys on the ultra short HT's...while I know you like it for the street and DJ etc.......how's that workin' out for ya on the mountain trails?
No matter what it is I'm doing on a bike...I find that no matter what the angles and wheelbase are etc....I gotta have a proper fitting toptube length....and I strongly feel that LOTS of bails would be avoided if the bike wasn't so small for the rider

Discuss? meh

PS...his bike(frame only remember)

I can't help you with the frame trading thing.

But for all the hardtail riders as was asked with the little bikes.
I guess my minuteman would be considered one of the "little" bikes, but I've got a pretty long top tube on mine at 23" And if it were any shorter, I don't think i'd be able to ride it on trails. It's the perfect length for everything that I do, and as you have witnessed Loopie, I do everything on this bike (which reminds me, last time we rode Lolo, did we take any pictures of that drop near the bottom? 7 footer? right after you cross the stream on the log ride? if we did, you should hook me up with the pictures) and I also think that if the top tube were shorter, then there would be definate troubles on the trails. I think i'd definatly be crashing much more often.

and just for the hell of it, this is a picture to show all you BC folk just how lucky you are! look how dedicated we are in Calgary, riding in this shit

Mikey , what gearing you runnin?

on the riding small frames in the woods, I have ridden my .243 for the last year, I slapped a Thomson 410 post on it and never looked back.

I had a 26/24 with a 5" fork it wasn't ideal for climbing but I ride that bike everywhere. I love it!!!!!

btw: I'm 510, I can't see folks who are 6'2 and above riding 22.5 inch top tubes but sure I see them on 23's, 23.5's I think .243 is doin one this year.

Mikey, I think it's time for you to get the board/skis out of the closet, and pack the bike away for a few months

Castle, i'm running 36/16

and I'm 6'1" and I'm not sure of the exact length of my top tube, but it's either 22.5" or 23"

and Broken, I don't ski...or board....but I live in Calgary and we have the most fucked up weather on the planet. I was just out riding...it was +8 and sunny. God this place is stupid...

does only the TT length change? (I think so on the norco "supercross" bikes). Maybe swap for a shorter stem or something?

I find that a longer toptube length with a shorter stem is much more stable than too short of a toptube that's made up for by using a longer stem.

Ya...the small has a shorter TT length. The stem is already pretty short...he also needs to get a lower bar.

Derek, I'm gonna suggest that he just keep what he's got now, and go for maybe a shorter stem and bar. because he's guaranteed to grow a lot more soon, so he might as well keep that frame, because if you get the smaller one, then soon he's going to wnat the bigger one back. So i say just shorten it up the best you can without changing frames, and then he'll grow into it and then he can put the old stuff back on to make it longer again. Unless he's really having BIG problems riding it, i'm going to say he should keep it.

I am like 6'2, and am riding a minute man with a 23'' TT right now. I find it is too long for my liking, and my .243 when it gets here will have the 22.5'' top tube which seems to be perfect.

I used to have a medium 02 4hun as well, but it broke, and Norco sent me a small 02 4Hun back.

I'm a fan, it's sooo twitchy, I like it. Loopie, if it was something other than a 125, I'd consider a trade.
