video editing software

I was just wondering what are some of the best digital video editing software packages.

Right now I have adobe after effects, but I've heard that adobe premier is alright too...

what else should I look into?

There is a new one called adobe premier pro 7. My friends say it is really good. There is also Avid express. It is really good but hard to use. I cant figure out how to use it but i will figure it out

use windows video thingy for easy to use

most pro viseo editors go very in depth with a lot of settings needed

yeah, ha... I think I've graduated from windows movie maker. I guess an intermediate-advanced program is more what I'm looking for.

Movie maker was just too basic

Well it really depends on a few things
if your on a mac (which are usually the best for video or graphics)
beginner/intermed. - imovie
expert - final cut pro 3 or 4

if your on a pc which is what i think u are
beginner - windows movie maker
intermed./expert - one of those adobe programs or power director pro

adobe premier 6.0 for pc is pretty easy to use but has some cool stuff in it too

Adobe 6.5 is prolly good.

Adobe 7.0 is even better because you dont have to build after you put in effects. They are fairly easy to use. hard at first and you can make pretty cool videos

thanks, yeah... I can do some things with photoshop so I'll try out premier and after effects a little more
