2003 Junior T Bobbing

Is it really like that for the Junior T to bob a lot when you're pedalling hard to accelerate or gain speed???
Any inputs...

yes, it bobs just like any other 6"+ dc forks.
I never had a problem with the bobbing, but then i never do XC or climb too much. IMO it accelerates fine for what i do, but havent ridden it with a XC fork back to back to really compare.

I guess it alldepends on what kind of riding you are planning to do

I ussually do some Downhilling and hucking with my JrT on my 2003 medium Bullit...However when I tried to pedal hard to gain some more speed, I feel the bobbing so annoying that it waste my energy specially when there is a little climbing section...Is it maybe because I'm using a 44T up front...Does reducing my Chain ring to 38T or 36T solves it...Need your advice dudes..

Get used to it. All long travel forks will bob to some degree. Some more than others. SPV would help as well as maybe putting in heavier oil to slow the compression stroke of the fork. BUT that being said, it's no problem, you just have to learn to deal with it. These type of bikes aren't made save your energy but disperse it so you don't kill yourself.

[m33p]Learn to pedal smoother, and you will have much less bob.[/m33p]

What about the preload setting...What is the difference between positive and negative or less preload? At my weight of 161lbs, how much turns of preload do I need to set???

Upping the pre-load will help with bobbing, but you should adjust it so that your sag is correct; otherwise the rest of your ride will be adversely affected.

incresing preload will stiffen it up a little bit.

if you are really annoyed, try to slow down the rebound as much as possible.

But if you do that, it's ruin the rest of the ride.

Just change the chainring, 44 seems awful big for climbing, 36 or maybe even 32 will do.
