2002 Shiver SC on 2002 Specialized Enduro?

2002 Shiver SC on 2002 Specialized Enduro?

I have the stock Marz EXR fork on it now and thinking about putting on a Shiver SC (can get a good deal on one - 2002 model). The EXR has 100mm of travel (4"), the Shiver has 120mm (5"). I'm an all-round type rider, nothing too big, but ride the shore and Squamish mostly. I'm 6'1", 205 lbs. I rarely shuttle, always ride up first.

Does this fork make sense on this bike? How much hardware will I need to change (have the standard dropouts/hubs, need to go to the 20mm). Can I use my Shimano Deore 6" disc on this fork? Do I risk frame damage with the extra travel? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Specialized knows their shit when it comes to Full Suspension. Dropouts they need to work on, but frames are top quality.

Disc is required for the fork.

You'll need an adaptor.
