Which way is this tire rolling?

Away from you... or towards you?

Always use the best/most braking edges available.

I have that tire and the direction arrow points in the opposite directions you would think. I hear lots of guys are running them "backwards".

it's rolling towards you for sure, you always want the sloped side of te knob to contact the ground first.

There are some tires you can mount backwards for front wheel to increase braking power. But most tires you can not do that, it will give you less braking grip and the treads will wear prematurely.

for example, you do NOT run a maxxis highroller backwards, and i wouldnt run that michelin you posted backwards.

I have that tire, and run it rolling away from you. I'm not sure if that's the good way to run it, but It's never slipped on anything yet..
