One way to look at it:
Whistler is so easy...This way we at least bring some true thrill back into it. Consider it the same as jumping between trees or death gaps. ![]() I just think of it as an extra element of the trail and it doesnt bother me so much...I'm pretty laid back actually, haha. HOWEVER, I have come within inches of pulling a full on disaster on people more than a few times. I've also actually hit people in air and on the ground as well. I've just been lucky enough so that it was never a huge impact. But again, I'm over 200lbs

You're right to be upset. The only excuse for the bike being in the landing zone is an injury. Even then, if the injury isn't too bad an effort must be made to get the bike out of the way to prevent further injuries, like the time I blew my knee skiing Fisheye on Whistler. That run has a roll over bump at the end and that's where I ended up. On the snow unable to walk. I had dislocated the knee, tore the ACL and MCL, torn miniscus and small fractures on the femur and tibia. But I remained aware that I was in a bad spot because skiers from above could not see me. I stuck a pole in the air, got the skis off and strapped together, telemark stuff no brakes or release, and then I managed to scuffle over to the edge of the run. I mean you have to be aware of your surroundings and other trail users.
If buddy was taking a leak and left his bike on purpose, he deserves a severe consequence of some sort. If you were injured because he was negligent , he owes you. If you ever find out who it was sue his ass. Probably the only way he'll learn that there are consequences to stupidity. It seems people in todays society forget they share the planet with others. They drive like they are the only ones on the road, hell, they grocery shop like they are the only ones in the store. I've started moving shopping carts when they leave them in stupid places. I move them far. Like the next aisle. Or do like my old man. He's 81 and enjoys ramming them out of the way grumbling all the while. No one messes with a grumpy old man. I'm getting there I tell you. Yesterday on Bottletop a group of 4 or 5 armoured lads were standing at the top a small climb on the trail. They stood there and looked at me....riding at them....riding at them.....RIDING... oh... last minute they move off the trail. Pay attention boys...too late I had to put a foot out...no big deal really. I wonder if they noticed me off the trail a minute later doing an air pressure adjustment. They were apologetic when I caught back up at the very bottom and they were walking the last corner.

Ya my bros had a similar experiance at the same place. We had been doing the drop but after a run with super t and him doing the jump with a big trick over it we started to do that, anyway some doumb fuck kids were standing in the landing of the jump we some smoking off it with my bro in the lead we tryed to stop but couldn't and mowed them all down. Luckinly we and our bikes were all fine so we were like stay the fuck out of the landing and left. Theres way to many stupid people at whistler. ALso when we were riding dirt merchant this guy Lars we were riding with hucked the big drop on it and cleared a kid under neath him. THe kid was scared shitless so we though that would be enough of a lesson and we left.

Last week at whistler I was riding my reaper (hardtail) on the last run of the day, and my hands hurt like a bitch. I was making every tranny on a-line, but going a bit slower to give my hands a break. Then this dickwad comes up behind me and starts flippin out, and right after the trail goes under the bridge, he tries to buzz my back tire. So I turn around to see what the fuck he's up to, and hit the jump with out looking. I land sideways, squirrel around, and fly into the bush. Dickwad rides off without a word, but thankfully my buddy was a bit further down to give him a earfull. I know im ranting, but godammmmit!!!!

Holy shit, listen to yourselves.
Activly going out and smashing into people just because their in your way? are you fucking sociopaths? Have you no realization that 45lbs of steel + 200pounds of flesh going at 35km can tear a tree apart, much less kill a person. Think for a minute before plowing into people you inconsiderate retards. And you wonder why mountain bikers have a bad rap when it comes to community groups.
