I have the Nikon 2.0 Meapixel Coolpix... 2100 I think? 2.0 megapixel will do fairly nice pictures at 8x10. The Canon Powershot A70 (I think) was the other one we compared at.

Don't just factor in the camera, remember memory card and case etc. Our $329CDN camera came to $599 with tax after adding in the memory card, taxes and a case.

The Nikon Coolpix 3100 I think (3.2 megapixel, whichever it is) is very nice, very cute. only does like, 15 or 45 seconds of soundless movie though, like, 14 shooting modes though.
The Canon powershot 3.2 MP is the same just about, but it does like, 3 minute videos with sound, but is a little heavier and bigger.

My dad and I did a fair bit of browsing around and researching, and those were our final selections.

I'm looing at the Nikon Coolpix 4300 and the Canon G3. Nikon goes for about $300, while the G3 is $500. Is the better image quality worth an extra $200? What other features does it have?

-thx keef
