So I was going over my fork, just checking it out for no reason. And I decided to look under the arch to notice a little crack starting. But a crack is a crack, and I don't like the idea.
Now should I really worry, the place that its starting to crack at is the place that most these fors do. And I'm scared that the crown will just rip of after some riding. Any way I'm attaching a pic of the crack, and tell me if I should worry about this. Note, if this does for real devolop into something serious, my warranty is out in 2 months. So I need to decided now, that is why I'm asking you guys. The crack is in a weird place to take the pic, and my garage is dark so it looks ugly. Ill over lap the crack with a red line. I don't think that counts as "snapped."
I think that counts as "minutely cracked." Just keep an eye on it, send it in for warranty in 1.5 months.

Well, Ill just take my bike in and see what they say. I dont plan on riding for a long time. What I was planning to do is, get my bike in mint shape, and perfect mechanical order just incase I wanted to bike.

Yah, but I kinda quit MTB. Been to busy with school, and on my spare time I ride a BMX.
I'm not planning on selling my bike, because its not worth it, I'll end up loosing to much money. So, my plan was to fix my bike, get it in great mechanical order and just let it sit, just incase I will feel like riding next summer. So, I don't have time to try and break the fork more. One my warranty is almost up, and 2 I don't have a front wheel. So what do you guys say? |

i think you should be able to get it warantied right away. my dj3 had an even smaller crack in the crown, you could barely even see it, but that was enough for a warranty and new crown...

If it is a crack, you can get it warrantied. Take it to your LBS and have them send it off to Norco.

I tried to edit the thread title, but it won't let me. I know its just a little crack, for some reason I put snapped. Ill take it down to my LBS as soon as I can.
