BC Lung Assoc. Trek for life
Anyone else riding it this weekend?
I don't know how I got talked into it - I'm definately not a roadie. Oh, well, I've borrowed a TREK 2200 and I've been training for the last month. I guess I'll see how well I can ride 200kms. Interestingly - I was amazed once I got on that bike and started riding it. My first experience felt like someone strapped a rocket on my back and set it off. The speed was amazing. Problem of course being I'd see stuff that look intersting to ride... but I can't on this bike. Level pavement only. No curbs, walls, dirt, rocks, logs, benches.... sigh. Anyway - if you're riding it, say hello. I'm part of a team called 'quadzillas'. Some of us (not me) will have green godzillas strapped to our bikes.

Good luck... hopefully the weather will be a bit cooler and cloudy for you -- it's calling for a bit of rain but that'll be better than our current heat wave. I've always thought about trying that ride... Have fun!

It's supposed to piss down rain on Sunday morning. I may end up uncomfortable, but I promise I won't complain, given the current situation in the province.
