IFO Paint help(a lil different)

Let say I am painting a red flame on white backgroud.
I paint red, then mask, then white.
but at where the 2 colours meet, there's a bump. What do i do about the bump? sand it smooth? or is going over it with clear coat enough?

depends on what type of paint u use...

if u use base coat colros the line between colors is very thin... if u use a rattlecan type of paint the film thickness will be thicker and teh line will def have a tendency to make a bump....

u can try to "lightly" wet sand the line down but be careful its very easy to completly remove all teh paint and screw the masking/paitn work up ....

u can bury the line with C/C to some extent... but its sometimes alot less work to simply paint the 2 colors, then C/C the frame...

allow it to dry for a few days then resand the areas where the line can be felt with a P800... lightly scuff up the rest of the frame then C/C the frame again....

this time when it dry's not only will the line be gone to the touch but your bike will be VERY shiny....

mulitple coats of C/C make for a VERY deep color....

good luck....
