Talkin' with a homeless guy

I was sitting on my bike getting ready to ride home when a homeless guy on a bike rides up to me and says:

HG: I do neighborhood watch around here, do you have a bike lock for that?

Me: no, I keep it inside when I have to leave it

HG: thats good, you can't leave that by itself, you don't want someone to take it.

-I'm thinking this is just a normal conversation until he says:

HG: the future leaders of the government want it!!!

- Maybe it was one of those times where you had to be there but I almost cracked up laughing as he rode away.

I was stopped by an older homeless gentleman on my commute home from work yesterday.

Man: *heavy scottish accent* Excuse me sir.

Clay: *stops bike* Yes, what can I help you with?

Man: Are you ready to stand trial?

Clay: err, this is news to me.

Man: We all must stand trial for our offences.

Clay: Well, I wasn't aware that I had offended anyone.

Man: You will be judged.

Clay: Fair enough. *begins to ride away shaking head*

Man: *shaking fist* You will stand trial, by the power vested in me, you will be judged!!!

Clay: I will talk to you tomorrow homey, later.

Man: Stop DAMN YOU, STOP!

I wonder if will meet paths again today

I had to think about that one for awhile after you pointed it out... after a very, very long time of thinking, I finally got it. It only took me how many hours after he said it! Maybe I should go back to drinking coffee so I can blame moments like this on not having my cup of coffee yet.

Some home less ppl are really interesting....did "Randy" ever come to anyones school? The recovered addict from East Van? Amazing story.

I wrote a play based on a fictional story of a homeless person...just because ive always found it cool how much youd be amazed if you just sat down to one of them and said "Whats your story, why are you here?" Whether it be COMPLETE bullshit, a drug hallucinazation, a government conspiracy, or utter truth. They're all there for a reason.....and some are surprising.

I had about a 20 minute conversation with a homeless person once while sitting on my bike waiting for someone. After what I thought was a pleasant conversation about how screwed up his son is, he asked me to 'give him a wiggle' as I rode away on my bike.

I was quite dissapointed.

Another time, we rode by a HG on our $2000.00 XC bikes ( this was 10 years ago... ) and he commented on how expensive our bikes most cost, at least $200.00! yup, that's right, just $200.00 for these babies!

A homeless person asked me how much my bike was worth, I said about 2500 if you were to buy it off me, he then offerd me 4 'rocks' for it and stated he could get a 4000 dollor bike for 7 'rocks'. I didn't have a clue as what a 'rock' was but I figured it was a hit of heroin? Anyone know?

weirdest thing i have seen in my life.

walking down granville street about dusk. one homeless guy kinda running after another homeless guy. guy #1 tackles/pushes guy#2 to the ground. jumps on him, takes off his shoes, takes off his socks, smells the socks, put them in his pocket then runs away.
