hub for banshee scream? are chris king worth it?

well i order a 2003 white banshee scream today but i wont have it for about 3-4 weeks because it has to come from tawain.
the specs will be:
frame: white banshee scream with avalanche
fork: 2002 junior t with custom stickers
rims:front supra E 32 holes rear supra E 36 hole
bar: race face diablous oversized
stem: race face diablous oversized
cranks: kona bulge
hubs: hopefully chris king
the rest of the stuff doesn't matter. ok here is my question is a chris king rear hub worth the money and if not what would be my best choice? also can you make chris king hubs bolt on instead of standard quick release?where is the cheapest place to purchase chris king hubs and headsets? thanx for the help.

Save the money on the hubs and upgrade the fork. JrT internals suck ass.

King hub's are worth it. But I agree with what others said about the JR. T.

Oh if you get the stock kit with the bike (XT rear hub) it comes with a solid thru axle and track nuts.

im getting a frame only so no hub i dont think and im already getting rid of the juniort t in less than a month because my friend is buying it then i will get a monster t. so can you make any hub a solid thru axle with track nuts because thats what i want on my hub and it would be cool if i could do it to a chris king or a formula. if not what hubs can you do it to?

No you can't make every hub solid thru but Pip includes the solid axle when you buy a complete bike along with the rest of the spare hardware.

Almost any bike shop should have spare axles. All you do is swap out the QR axle for a solid one and bolt that bad ass up. Old-school Toys R Us style.

Chris King has an option called "Fun Bolts."

They look like this (shown on a SS hub, but there is an option for the regular ISO Disc hub (I should know, I have one on order )

Chris King hubs are the tits. More than twice the pawls of every other hub on the market. They are the final stop, top of the line (IMO anyway).

If you want to save a bit of coin, I hear Hadely are great. But if you can afford it, Chris King is the shit.

Formula's have weird internals that are parts whores is what I have heard (I believe i picked that tidbit up off of IFO?)

KING with a stainless steel driveshell and Fun Bolts. Same setup I am getting.

Like most parts - Cove has wicked deals on King hubs. They also have Hadley if you go that route. I believe the Hadleys have a 12 mm thru axle (and maybe also 9 mm?). Kings don't come in 12 mm if that makes a difference to you. Not sure what the Banshee will accept.
