Slopestyle - don't miss it!

This event is going to change our sport, for the better! For those who haven't seen the track, there are many multiple lines that should complement many styles of riding like a 20+ foot drop, massive spine, 4 big DJ's, and some big transfer hucks. The rider line up is all time, with veterans Timo Pritzel, Cowan, Simmons, Vanderham, Schley, Spangler, Porter, Dyer and young bloods like Strait, Berrecloth, Derpak. Plus some new talent, look out for McCaul, Hunter, and Ritchie.

25 to 30 invited athletes will do a 2 run qualifier, with the best run counting. The main will see 12 in a 1 run shoot out. The Super Final will be the top 3 going for the cash.

The show goes from 6-9pm Saturday the 19th, Whistler Bike Park.

If youre talking about the drop by the wallride it is not 20+ feet. 15 tops.

But yeah, its gonna rock.

I have a stupid question.

does it cost anything to go up and watch? or do you just walk to wherever and watch?

Sorry, i live far, far away and have never been up there

yeah freebies.....damn i wish my fork was better. tom said he was gonna get me in at the wc to ride in it but now im bikeless for the one weekend that i really need it.

it seems the demons are coming back.....maybe im just not meant to ride in whistler.

my money is going to be on who can style that box out the best. it is the sure fire teller who the winner should be. if i see a superman over that box im going home. its all over after thats done.

You're thinking most people will gap the whole box, eh?

I'm thinking there'll be some carnage going down.

Its all about creativity. Jumping the box is a solid move but lets face it, it is not really original. I winner will be the one who can flow the WHOLE course, incorperating solid moves and original lines.

u need something more stylie than gapping the box. for example, if i didnt suck, i would 180 onto it, ride it fakie, then 180 off. that would be cooler that just flying over it.

my predictions for top 3(in this order):

1)berrecloth
2)Pritzel
3)strait

Gareth will have a wicked creative run and albeit he is my fav rider, he'll get screwed with judging.

Simmons isn't 100% and slopestyle isn't really his thing (relatively speaking) - most of the other riders are also trail or straight DJ.
