romic vrs avy

hey guys, i have a 2003 bighit comp. I have a sherman slider on the front. would the avy or the romic fit better. I am really tight on money. I do alot of urban and alot of dj and bigdrops what should i get?

Get the romic if your tight on money. Ive rode a couple of them and there great no problems ever. No experiance with the avy but i think there pretty expensive.

just to ask, does the romic come in a 2.25" stroke that is 7.850 inches long?

none, i have asked some about the stratos and the avy. thats all. I am sory that i am not rich like you. I am 15 and dont have all the money in the world. Money is tight and i like to have all the info i can before ordering the product.

contact Romic directly to find out if they make a shock to fit your model of BIGHIT...

i'd get teh Romic aswell...



as of right now the Manitou shocks arent available aftermarket...so u cant buy one...unless your buying a frameset/complete bike...

im 15 too, and im not rich. but you cant go wrong with the 2 shocks you listed

and im pretty sure the swinger/5th element wont fit the big hit comp cuz theres not enough clearence for the piggyback, but it does work with the big hit dh.

for the romic, there is a shock that is 8" long and another that is 7.5" long. do you think that i could get away with the 8" long one. My bike is suposed fit a 7.850" shock

No. Last I heard Romic did not have a scream compatible shoc they stroke was slightly too long. They were supposed to start making one but im not sure if they are yet or not.

Avy. I love mine on my scream. It kills everything.

avy is a little bit exspensive for me though. I am already in dept 900 bucks from all the stuff i put on. blowing my fox r was not part of the plan.

the romic will probibly fit it will mabey change up the geometry a little. Unless the link has a stop where itcant go any farther it will work having a little biger of a shock. Go to the norco website it tell how to get more travel out of a vps and thats just puting on a biger shock pretty much. They run the same design it should work. Talk to your LBS also they will help you out or call a good shop like cove or jhon hennrys.
