Talking Wicked day at the WC (sat)

I had the freakin' best day at the downhill today! Started out at John Henry with the pancake breakfast (were those rasberries dope or what?!). Went up in the bus and hooked up with Dave and Randy. Then added Dean into the mix. Shit, what a pump up to the bike storage! Hour and forty five with my big ass rig to the top. The smoozed with the dope and the beautiful in the expo area. Hooked up with sly and Marty for some herbal treats. Had the fortune to give a shout out to the stylin' Fergs who was snappin' pics like only he can. Saw the freakin' raddest downhillers in the world do their thang! Then got totally pissed on and got soaked when I rode back down the hill!

I could not have had a better time if I had planned it. Hope everyone up there had as fuckin' wicked day as I had!!!!!!

Two questions: Anybody know how many people were up there today (seemed like a hell of alot!)? The announcer said that NSMB got like 59 million hits a month! Now he must be exagerating but anybody know how many hits it does get.

GVRD RULES!!!!!

yeha but teh course was longer and more twisty this year...

the end of this years course wasnt as exciting as the first years jumps....

but the course over all was hella fun to walk down adn watch the pro's rip on...

i witnessed some amazing line transfers... huge gaps onto adn off of rocks... the actual "race" runs were insanely fast....

there was one racer, i think it was Mikael Pascal, who was almost as fast as the race winner within 2 secs. but he rode the race in the full blown wet/rainy/foggy course...
were as Houseman (the winner) rode his run when the course was still totally dry...

Pascal was like on Nitrous, rippin so fast in the rain i couldnt beleive his bike would hold a line at the speeds he was traveling... pure insanity....thats no other way to describe it...

i watched him gap off a rock 12-15 feet onto a metal bridge deck that was slick as a oil spill then proceed to stick to his line, pedalin his ass off the entire time while his bike was totally sketching...

the guys so focused, i swear he didnt even notice the course was greasy, haahaahahaha......

Nice work on pedaling that tank of a bike to the top Stew, what trails did you ride on the way back down?

The action today was pretty damn amazing. I was impressed with the lady riders as well, they can all rip (even Barb, who hasn't even raced yet this year!).

I just looked at the results. The Canadians did really well! Better then a lot of the other top riders!

Was it the rain?

We don't measure hits much, but our traffic averages 15-20,000 people per day. 59 million hits is easy to get with that kind of traffic.

Awesome day up there today. Props to the nsmb team riders who put in a great effort at both the 4X last night and the DH today!
