Because somthing about it could affect the bike somhow so company's make it so that if you paint the frame yourself it will void the warranty, sorry to burst your bubble.

Doesn't matter, unless specialized is painting in it'll void warranty.

specialized wont do a custom paintjob, but dont worry about warrenty, worst comes to worst and theyll give you crash replacement (hella cheap)....

just make sure you sand well, primer several coats, and do lots of thin coats of your final paint. Also, make sure you heavily clearcoat it AND BE CAREFUL.

Dude, phone Specialized and ask.

Back when I had my Holeshot, I was thinking of painting it, so I asked Brodie and they told me to "paint away, your warranty is still good."

This little jobbie voided my warranty (I waited until 11 months then painted away)

There are a dozen reasons why painting 'could' comprise a frames integrity, for all a company knows you could have baked the paint on in an oven and ruined the heat treating of the aluminum parts

Repainting

Question
I want to have my Specialized frame repainted. Where can I go to have this done?

Answer
Specialized does not have a painting service, but the information below is for the company that has done a lot of frame painting for us in the past. Unfortunately if anyone else besides Class Act repaints the bike it will void the warrranty.

You can give Class Act Coatings a call and they can probably help you out.

You may contact them at the following number:

1-866-823-0070

They are located in the Portland, Oregon area.

Thanks.
