i dont know exactly but my whole bike weighs 42 pounds
large super8 manitou dorado xtr cranks easton components light wheels(laserdisc excalibur)

maybe im probably going to get a 9 ball frame though
im getting a new frame because i just found 2 cracks on my norcos swingarm but ive already got a new chainstay from warrantee man martys has the best service.
just takling a look at my choices
you still riding your sick balfa bb7
we should go for a ride some time at hartland or something
later

Like any other bike, Super 8's are not indestructable. They are killer bikes, but they too crack.

I don't know a single person who rides one who has not cracked or broken it.

Just some info if you are thinking this bike is the only answer to your current cracked frames.

Took me 2 years to crack my swingarm (2001). My friend bought the same bike and cracked it in the same time as well, and still has the original swingarm. Very tough bike.

I agree, very tough bikes. My point was that like everything else, it is not indestructable.

My Super 8 weighs in around 44 (with a monster T). Love the bike, rides really well and handles awesome. There is a guy up in nanaimo who has a new med super 8 frame and parts for $1350 that's a pretty good deal considering it was a $2800 retail frame.

Some guys are selling theirs with Avys in good condition with a floating caliper,rear wheel,bb and small parts etc etc for $1500
and one with no caliper with avy for $1400

they crack. took me 5 months and i weigh 150 and im pretty smooth i guess

what, mike you broke yours? Doing what? I haven't had a problem at all other than the flat tires (3 up in Whistler). Where did yours break?
