marz drop-off d/c

in another thread i said i'd get the specs for someone.
here they are:

damping system:

one side coil, one side air with piston rod.
open bath ssv (speed sensitive valving)

adjustability: pre-load.

dual external air pre-load adjusters

spring: 1 side coil and 1 side air

travel: 155mm

crown: 2003 cryofit

arch/sliders: new magnesium 1pc

stantions: 32mm aluminum

steerer tube: steel

brakes: disc only (i think)

dropouts: std 9mm q/r

tire clearance: 26x2.8

made in taiwan

nice! looks like marzocchi is finally stepping up as they have some competition.

this fork isn't a step up in raw performance, it's a really inespensive fork for recreational freeride bikes.

Is the 888 confirmed to be 35mm? Also, have you guys heard anything on availabillity?

the one i described is made in taiwan and my info says only 9mm std q/r dropouts.

there might be one from italy with 20mm but i don't know about it. marzocchi is wierd with us.

the oem catologue says that they're 35mm aluminum. it doesn't state the alloy or finish.

they will be available in late oct or early january depending on how it goes.

sounds like an idea hardtail fork if it had 20mm

but the 888 is marzs most hyped arrival in a long while... i hope it lives up

Sounds more like a out of bounds /light freeride fork to me.

The are 35mm. The stanchions are also farther apart than the Super T.

03 was a huge improvement. No more snapping stanchions on daily basis with the SC forks. DC Forks got stiffer and stronger. No more snapped arches.

Now with 04, they're fixing the tire clearance on the arches, they're fixing the cracked SC issue by using steel, they've made the DC crowns full bolt again, and they're filling the gap in their lineup with the 888.
