when they say they can set it to monitor an area and alert a controller of intruders. in essence, a mine field. that i can see as a step beyond mines. which we all know lay idle for years after until a helpless villager takes a new route home. its a more controlled scenario.

it makes more sense than a bomb for getting rid of walls because of the fact that the accuracy on this would most certainly be a huge step from Rock Propelled Grenades. Which means they could mount it on a vehicle. Let 'er rip, dessimate a wall, and storm the room. This means in an urban landscape they can target the right wall, not have the RPG shoot out an innocent families wall next door by mistake.

Now I dunno about you, but a million bullets minute is a little excessive. We're trying to slow down the production of arms, not speed it up. Where can a 16 tube grenade launcher make sense other than the battle field? Do they really wish for a car full of angry people to pull up. Click a buttom and be able to blow up an entire parking lot all in a driveby?

With an electronic working system does this not mean to fix it on a battlefield you're going to need computers and electronic whiz kids? With a machine with moving parts the efficiency drops but the option of a "quick fix" is still there.

Lastly...a million rounds a minute is just plain retarded. The world does NOT need this. Wait until you have handgun options where you can bust out an entire belt of bullets in to a convenience store in like 3 seconds. It's stupid, its crazy, and its basically got "massacre" written all over it.
