What about the fact that the clutch derailleur is heavier than the one without it...

If you factor in the removal of your chain tensioner, then it's lighter. Anyone who considers weight when buying a clutched rderailleur has never used one!

Just picked up the Shimano Zee with Shadow + and very impressed so far... almost zero chain slap...
