Not surprising.

A few months ago I attended a lecture on

done by some of the top researchers in their field. The Canadian government is putting a lot of money into this.

And they mentioned that if their research is right, there is actually a correlation how income levels and other factors have a factor in the amount of cortisol and average Canadian has.

And on the note of loneliness.

Add me to that list.

It has a lot to do with the density of the city, how cliquey the city has gotten, and how unfriendly people have become when you want to introduce yourselves.

I've slowly been working on it, but I have such difficulty keeping in touch with people. It's probably my ADHD, but damn I have a hard time making friends.

Being in college sure helped though. But my weekends are still empty :/

Learning russian slowly, and gave up on canto, although I still have a lot of canto friends.

You know what I don't understand? When I went to LA for a Street Fighter Tourney, everyone wanted to hang out with me, everyone was super nice and they would show me all around LA. Whenever I head down to Seattle, people drop everything to take me out, im being introduced to knew people and even though I've known them shortly through the internet or in person, we have more to talk about then most of the people I meet on a daily basis.

I would agree cuz while the big city is full of people everyone keeps to themselves SO how many PEOPLE does anyone actualy Iinteract with and if everyone is keeping to themselves whom are they connecting with?

IME it was easier in PeeG to connect with people than Vancover and Smithers is way easier cuz the smaller the town the more people you WILL connect with, in a regular day I can walk down the main drag where people angle park in spaces with no parking meters and I will usually talk to at least half a dozen people without trying very hard cuz everyone I know from my Lawyer to the derelict 1st nations dude who's junker bike I fixed on blue bike day are making the scene on main street just like me

same with the local ski hill, if you are at whistler you will just be one of thousands of skiers who keep to themselves but at my local hill I may ride /talk with a dozen different people I know in the course of a day get cuz you get to know EVERYONE on the hill/on the chair /in the bar everyone talks to everyone so everyone knows everyone ... I have marketed realestate on that chair ride
