Who says Bryz wont be traded or picked up and paid out by the KHL... other than his contract is ridiculous in nature.

Luongo would get eaten alive in Philly. I've seem them boo Bryzgalov when they're down 1-0 in the 1st. Idiots...
I wouldn't go that far. Brzy still sucks and is no where near worth his contract. I just don't see Holmgren gutting his team twice in 2 years Last edited by Mordax; 06-03-2012 at 07:16 AM. |

For the record, Lou is doing fine. Bryz's record in the playoffs is embarrassing though (aside from a flash of brilliance).

I'd be fairly happy with a goalie who lost games 2-1,1-0 etc to a goalie who's been putting on a clinic for the rest of the playoffs now.
(haven't watched a game past the 2nd round. Are the leafs still in it?) |

I've come to the conclusion that Vancouver ruins goalies.

Vancouver has been a goalie graveyard for decades and it has nothing to do with the fans. Try counting them all since Captain Kirk.
Quite honestly from what I hear from other fans there is less love for Loungo's talents outside the province. It is for this reason that I would love to see him in Toronto. All the Leaf fans I know hate him. Either way you are right, there are a lot of Canucks fans that signed up for the jersey.

Can't win if you don't score.
We have a lot of players that aren't doing their part. Kesler didn't do his part, Raymond didn't do his part. The Sedin's made some great "plays" but little conversion last year, part of that maybe due to not having anyone consistent to pass to and pull the trigger??? Lu made some mistakes, but our D let us down a lot. And, you'd see them step up their game when Schneider was in goal, so maybe they either relied too much on Lu saving their asses or didn't care enough about protecting him? If the rest of the team plays the same next year, it won't matter who's in goal...Luongo is the least of our problems. IMO

^^ Agreed. Even in the infamous game 7 against Boston, Luongo stunk it up for sure, but there wasn't any scoring.
The only reason I would like to see him go is because the Canucks have to choose him or Schneider and I feel like Schneider can stay better focused when the puck spends most of the time in the other end. Luongo seems to do his best when he is involved throughout the game but there is a lot of games where the Sedin puck possession keeps him watching from afar. If the opponent's goalie can hang on for 10 minutes all it takes in one break and Luongo let's in the back breaker. Schneids seem to handle this way better.

With the exception of maybe Lundquivist(definitely spelled wrong) all the good goalies are hit and miss at different times. They wanted Broduer to retire and to trade Miller. I think we just have a unreasonable expectation of goalie consistency. Last year people cried that we didn't have Thomas, now he might sit out next year. But if a vancouver goalie has an off month his career is thrown to dust and everyone wants then out of town.
Personally I just like Schneider better. But if all we are offered for Luongo is garbage and we can get something amazing for Schneider I'd still be okay with that route too. |

The Penguins just acquired Tomas Vokoun from the Caps which should help Fleury get some rest time between games.
It also shows that the Caps have invested heavily in Braden Holtby. This is a pretty big move to make, especially with the playoffs still going on. All I know is that the rumor mill is more exciting than the current playoff series. |

And, we're back. A month later, the Lou/Toronto rumours have quieted, although I haven't really been listening.
