If an ad states "only ridden in the WBP", that to me does less for the item for sale than practically anything else. The "only" is not the correct adjunct to the descriptor, as what follows, namely "in the Whistler Bike Park" equates to:

This 2 wheeled item has been jumped, smashed, hammered, dropped, banked, crumpled, cased, bermed, endo'd, abused, and serviced regularly to keep said 2 wheels spinning.

So no. I'd not be too jazzed unless the price was banger, the spec was top-notch, and it didn't creak like a rocking chair when ridden.

I bought a Rocky Mountain Flatline Pro that was only Whistler ridden. Bike wasn't a year old, had half a season in the park and the only thing wrong with it was the pivots were completely seized from being power washed every day. So with the pivots being replaced I got a $6500 bike for $3900. The techs who changed the pivots said there was a half cup of water in the bottom bracket. Apparently that's common. I dry brush the bike now and rarely use water.

One could have possibly bought the same bike brand new for the same price in an end of season sale though. Having seized pivots puts a load of extra stress on a frame and is a common cause of frame failures.

Actually it was a World Cup, not a Pro. Still haven't seen that model for cheaper.
