Pangor - May 13 trailday to finish the reroute

When you're coming up to the big "Pangor Rock", either ride the big rock, or look to your sharp right for the trail. We've closed the trail to the left that rode over a big tree's rootball. Flagging tape will lead the way.

The re-route entrance doesn't flow very well right now, but it will.... I'm also confident the new line will solidify and flow a lot better than it does right now.

Thanks to the 11 Muddbunnies, Ryders Eyewear and friends for the work today! We sure appreciated the help from a few people that stopped. Feel free to offer to lend a hand digging when you run into a crew on the mountain!

The existing line was a clapped out river.

I was surprised how many people are riding the big rock. it'll stay open for sure.

can't say that about the rock spine above it though...

Reroute looks good. I'd prefer if the rock spine stayed though.

I still can't believe how much work we got done today. Thanks to all that came out, and also, thank you to any of the riders that took a few minutes to stop and help us with some bucket carrying through the day.

carrot top, I had a hand in building the spine, so I hear you - it's a good challenge. However, the reason we're closing it is the underground spring that pumps water from the end of the spine down the trail. The water and the high level of braking has just destroyed that section of trail.

I see what you mean. Hopefully the re-route can bring something unique and/or challenging to the trail.

I'd say smooth singletrack is pretty unique on Seymour.

I'd like to echo that thanks to everyone who stopped to give as a hand hauling some of that gold... though I am pretty sure there were a couple of very persuasive Bunnies at the top of the trail encouraging everyone to stop

Also a couple of pics from the day:

Oh yeah... and of actual work being done

Pangor is running great thanks to the great effort of the trail crew.
