Ha!. I'm actually hoping that this one will work for them. First dates with CB stuff are always good. It's like going on a date with a really hot woman, only to find out later that she's actually a man and has been tucking it all along.

if they don't offer an upgrade path for existing Joplin owners, they're not going to sell many.. I sure as hell won't be buying one, and don't care if it works or not.

to just leave the original purchasers out in the cold would be a pretty big slap in the face. |

clarklewis - still fine as of 8:07 a.m. today, but I haven't ridden it since yesterday. Will post daily status updates, if that would help you deal with your apparent anxiety disorder.

OK so the shaft has flat sides. How does a round seal work? Or is the seal not round? Does it simply flex around the squared off corner of the flat sided shaft?

^that was my first thought - recipe for short seal life. however, i read somewhere it was a proprietary seal w/ the flats moulded in. the serrations on the shaft look like they'd add additional wear & help pull contamination inside though.

You can use o-rings to seal a flat side object but the o-ring manufacturers have a minimum bend radius for each o-ring diameter & material.
