Fanatik Bike Co. is a n00b; standing by
Fantastik Spring Fest 2012 at Fanatik Bike Co.!

Fanatik Bike Co. is kicking off the 2012 season with our 2nd Annual Fantastik Spring Fest! Demo bikes, hot dogs, celebrity riders, schwag givaways, group rides, and loads more are planned for this weekend! All proceeds from this event are going to the Boys and Girls Club of Whatcom County. Come on down and enjoy!

Demo Bikes
Demo trucks from leading brands including Intense, Norco and Felt will be parked at our store, armed with a wide variety of bikes for you to ride at no cost. They are available throughout the weekend on a first-come, first-served basis. Whether you are new to biking, or an experienced rider, this is a great opportunity to ride the bike of your dreams.

Bunny Hop Contest
Saturday, March 31st at 1:00pm—Everyone is welcome to enter this highly entertaining bunny hop contest, just remember your helmet, in which contestants will jump their bikes over a rising limbo pole. Get ready to see some impressive bike handling skills! There will be prizes for the top three finishers.

Celebrity Riders
Several professional riders will be hanging out over the weekend signing autographs and chatting with fans; including Norco rider Jill Kintner who is an Olympic Bronze medalist, three-time World Champion, and two-time National Champion. Stop by and say hello to some talented riders!

Road Skills Clinic
Saturday, March 31st at 11:00am—Riders of all ages and abilities are invited to join the Fanatik sponsored Shuksan Velo Club road team to learn the basics of road riding. Have you ever wondered how to trigger a traffic light while riding your bike? What about group riding etiquette? Come join us on a ride to learn everything about riding the road safely and in a group. We will work on bike handling skills in small groups and then take what we have learned out on the road for a short spin through Bellingham.

Cruiser Ride
Saturday, March 31st at 5:00pm—All riders are welcome to join the Fanatik Cruiser ride. Cruisers will meet at Fanatik, decorate their bikes for a bit (some ribbon will be provided, but feel free to bring your own), and parade through downtown finishing at Chuckanut Brewery. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes and best bike decorations.

Galbraith Mountain Ride

Sunday, April 1st at 4:00pm—Riders of all ability and ages are invited to join a mountain bike ride on Galbraith Mountain. The group will pedal up Galbraith to the tower then choose which guided route (freeride or cross-country) to take to Mullet, where new trail features will be showcased. Riders will meet at Galbraith’s south side parking lot, off Samish Way east of Lake Padden Park.

Barbeque

Fanatik’s grills will be fired up on both Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am-1:00pm.

Raffle and Swag
Continuing its support of the Boys and Girls Club of Whatcom County, Fanatik will raffle off a cruiser bike, apparel, bicycle gear, and other ‘swag’ throughout the event to generate donations for the youth club.

Say hypothetically I were to drive down for this and my truck were to break down in your parking lot. Could I count on the Fanatik Bike Shop employees to give me a ride back to the border and leave my truck there overnight? I would also require access to your tool's to assist in the fixing of my truck. An 8 pack of Raineer would of course find it's way into your hands after all was said and done.

Damn, would have loved to go, but have plans to go to Whistler this weekend. It would have been nice to have posted this a couple weeks before the actual event so some of us could have planned ahead for it
