I'd hate to get my frame back and find out I need to buy a new spring and have to wait another 2 weeks to ride my DH. I think I remember you saying you were about 190-200lbs without gear, right?
Jimmy, I'm around 180 - 185lbs without gear and it's perfect. If you're 190 - 200lbs I think you'd be best off running the stock spring with the air cap and a couple pumps of air preload. Use the additional oil in the spring side if you're on a frame with a progressive leverage rate so you can better match spring curves. If you're over 200lbs I think the firm spring is the way to go.

Nope. I was out at the Bear Mountain Super D doing a great job of rapidly deflating my rear tire ... again.

Ahh cool haha. Yeah saw a new team aurum with a new 888 up there, thought it might be you for some reason. Also Burke I ride a stock spring in my 2011 888 and I'm exactly 200 pounds. Very rarely do I bottom it.

Twas not I, but I think I know who it is. Popular the 888 / Aurum combination will be this year.

So I have the 888 Evo Ti (2011's) and this last weekend I splurged a little bit and ordered a Hope integrated stem and crown. Should be here by Friday. Pretty freakin excited.

Yeah, hope is a portly 265g (sigh), the machining on the hope units though is exquisite, after seeing the Fox 40 version on a friend's bike I was awestruck. I can't speak for chunked, but the stuff that hope puts out is top notch.
