race face membrane jacket

anyone have one of these? would love some feedback. looking for something fairly water resistant and able to compress pretty small to leave in my bag through the winter and forget until needed. open to other options too but trying not to spend a lot (price point has them cheap right now)....thanks

Not too clear on where the membrane is - it sounds like coated poly. The coating will wear off and it won't be super breathable.

But as an emegency shell it seems like a good deal.

I have one of these - as an emergency but still pretty functional jacket its great. It folds into its own pocket so its super easy to store it in your pack as it fits small once packed up. It is pretty good at keeping you dry but is not full waterproof over a long exposure to rain. Has kept me dry up to a couple of hours and is quite breathable. I think for what you are looking for it will be a great choice.
