I can't believe they're fixing up my favourite secret trail on Fromme! Is this being done with the builders permission?!?!?! AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!

Come out on October 16 - it's much more fullfilling and fun than e-bitching behind your keyboard.

It's all your fault! I've just started working later on Sundays so I'll see about coming out for the first bit.

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but I've never done a trail day. When you say shuttles up to the trailhead, do we bring bikes to get back down, or no bikes? I wouldn't want to be the only idiot who didn't bring one. Or conversely, the only idiot who did.

This of course all dependent on me being able to drag myself out of bed that early!

Bringing a bike on Trail day alas never works out as well as one might think. You'll be carrying tools from the trail head and you'll probably be moving around on the trail over the day carrying said tools. Having a bike with you just ends up being more of a hassle. If you still have the energy to ride at the end of the day it's better to leave your bike at home and go get it afterwards.

If you still have enough energy to ride a bike after a trail day, you didn't work hard enough

I wasn't asking so that I could rip it up afterwards. I've just never been to one and didn't know if people rode back down or what. Sheesh.

And I'm full of energy.

Exactly what we need! Everyone's welcome as we're taking some initiative and continuing to make improvements on Fromme. We'll need lots of hands on mattocks, shovels & pulaskis.

Lots of great things happening in the woods this season and this is the beginning of good things ahead for Fromme. If you ride Fromme and care about Fromme, see you there Sunday to sling some gold and climb to the 6th.

Mr. Wood, I'll be there as well. 6 weeks on after a few broken ribs but I think I can swing some tools.
