I suggest the name of the gang be "dia de los muertos."

Boots should be curved and pointy but also have switchblades in them. Blades should protrude from the boot just before the pointy part curves back and loops around.

Will come in handy for kicking enemies in the shin, slashing tires, and slicing watermelons at picnics.
