What other trail gets the traffic of CBC?

Please show me where it was written that CBC would be built then NEVER need maintenance?

The trail has a huge number of drains, if they are not cleared every spring then bigger problems will arise.

CBC may not be everyone's favourite trail but it gets huge traffic numbers and will always require maintenance. Staying on top of the small things like drains mean that big projects won't be needed.

Neds

CBC to Neds is pobably the most ridden sequence of trails on the North Shore, but Neds, unlike CBC, does not need a trail day every year.

It was never written anywhere that CBC would never need maintenance, but It seems that every year there is a trail day(s) for CBC, plus CBC is closed for half of the year. It's great that the trail is being well looked after, but there must be something that can be done to ensure that the trail does not need to be repaired every single year

Neds is down to bedrock.

CBC is suspended over 4 feet of soft ground

A large portion of Neds was also a logging skid road that became a hiking trail, that then became a biking trail.

The current CBC route was put in less than 10 years ago.

Try riding Neds on a 4X bike with 120mm of crappy travel (Rock Shox Pearl....) and then tell me the trail isn't fucked.

Try riding Ned's on a 20" hartail (When you're 5'8") with 75mm of horrendous travel (SR Suntour XCT). Ned's is not that bad of a trail it has plenty of flow even on the bike mentioned above. Mushroom to Baden Powell are by far the worst trails on Seymour (not really trails, old skid roads, but still terrible).
