Transition Bandit

Looks like the Transition guys are bringing out a new trail bike.

I really like the 74 degree seat angle.

Probably closer to the bike I need, but not really the bike I want. Fills a gap in their lineup for sure, but I'm surprised they didn't go for a more slack "aggressive" head angle, al la spitfire. (not that slacker is better, just would suit their company's image better)

I believe they are realizing the old guy with money market is a better target than the broke kids that shred segment. 29er coming next!

I think the head angle makes sense. It will keep this bike nice and snappy while still shred-able.

Transition Bandit

Not sure why you'd want a slacker hta on a bike like this.

I didn't mean to say that slacker is better or worse, but slacker is trendier so you can market your trail bike like the banshee spitfire has been marketed "the downhiller's XC bike"

Givens transition's mostly gravity/jump oriented past I initially thought that was the angle they were going to play with this bike.

A free country uphillers downbike. As an old guy with money it is appealing to me.
Like SC, Transition is creating categories, not filling gaps. Great looking bike, who would say no to going for a rip on that?

Presumably it's running a 44mm upper headtube, like the rest of Transition's range, so one could fit an angleset if one desired.

The geometry is actually similar to the Covert, albeit with a shorter fork. I'd give it the what-for.

I would have liked to have seen maybe a 1 degree slacker HA....but I am loving the steeper SA....I think this bike will pedal awesome....and descend well enough. IMHO
