Remembrance Day Ceremony
I had the Honour of taking part in the laying of a wreath on the behalf of my Lodge at the Remembrance Day Services in my City .
The event was held in our local arena, and I am pleased to say that it was absolutely jammed with people. After we laid the wreath, everyone on the arena floor re grouped and did a march past the memorial "monument". During this march, EVERYONE in the arena was standing and clapping and cheering for the soldiers we were privileged to march beside. I was so moved by their applause that it brought a tear to my eyes as they sang O Canada Seeing all the people cheering on our retired and active fighting men was very humbling, and made me feel so very blessed that these fine men had laid their lives on the line for our freedoms and safety. God Bless all those fighting for our freedom

Sadly my town didn't do much in the way of a service/event. Sounds like yours was good.

I'm working out of town but I did do my minute of silence. Here is a picture of my grandpa today, he is on the left. He is so proud to serve in WW2 and makes me proud to be a Canadian and having a grandpa who risked his life to make Canada what it is today.

Normally I make the West Van ceremony but trail work kept me away this year. Still did the minute of silence and still was very moved by the memory of so many who served, and many that did not return.
The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month will always be a moving experience. Glad I live in Canada. In the US it's just another day.
