In that teaser video who is the rider at 0:34? I spent all summer looking at that move and never worked up the balls to do it. Props, that's a good sized jump.

On the face of it this series is just about riding bikes in Whistler.
that's all i got from the trailer. i guess the riding shots are designed to hook you, but if that's not the premise of the series its an odd starting point

i hate the title of this so much. seasonaires, such a dumb word. all it does for me is make me think of preppy english uni students with daddys credit card thinking they are killing it.

otherwise the story itself seems pretty awesome.

i know i already called wolsky a ninja last week, but i guess that means jin is a super-ninja - his hardtail skillz are off the charts.

The jewel here would be to document the biking equivalent of the ski bum movement. The resort-based ski bums of the 70, 80's, and 90's were the fodder for much of the poetic in the BIKE and Powder and the odd film. This could be fresh as people put off college for a year to live a dream that's isn't about freshies so much as progression in the bike park. Let's hope it isn't just mild bike riding porn (we already have NWD) but instead a well-told set of stories with quality edits.

lol

It's a common story. A guy I work with (who, now that I think about it, spent a year in Whistler working/skiing ) has a young nephew that got a job a couple years ago at my LBS, he was only 15 at the time.
As far as I know, he had no interest in bikes, he just wanted a job.
Next thing you know, the kids buying a bike, a Blk Mrkt Riot if I remember right.

He has just recently dropped the bombshell, he's told his parents he's putting off school cause he's moving to Whistler for a year.

good for them. more people could do this if they choose to. you either get in on the rat race of working to pay off debts for a lifetime or follow your passion. you do not have to be born with financial advantages either as long as you know how to earn money and spend it wisely.

Yea, when I first rode with Jin, I thought 'o, a hardtail at WBP, that's cute'. He booked it outta the gates down Slayer so fast and it was on, I had to mash the pedals to keep up and I've got 8 1/2 inches. That's right, 8 1/2 inches. He kills it, tight jeans and all. The hardtail accelerates so fast, and then he charges it on the tech, hitting it as hard as someone on a squishy. Jin makes me shake my head in wonder. I just wonder about his knees and spine in a cpl yrs.

I know there's a thousand untold stories but would a been cool to get that Oli kid who crushed it in the Junior races with his duct taped bike. Or Wheeldrop, sleeping like an animal in his secret den just to get up early and get his bips.
