Thank you to the three guys today who led me out...

Around 5PM today.
Being a NShore guy who just starting to take up MTB, I managed to get good and turned around (ended up on the Baden Powell Instead of Bridal Path), and found myself bewildered at the base of Powerline (I know this now having checked the map I neglected to bring with me). Thank you for being friendly, leading me out, and most of all not making be feel like the semi-incompetent douchetard I was today.

it's worth the read . it's about a young'un who gets lost in northern canada and has to survive on his own . the hatchet is a big part of his survival .

the sequel is a " what if " he didn't get rescued and would have had to spend a winter out in the wilds .

probably be of some interest to those german school kids you work with .

You can't go anywhere in the wilds of Canada without running into a pair of german dudes (or sometimes dudettes) sharing a very small single person tent. It's like Australians in Whistler.
