They are burning the Koran because they say that Islam is a religion of violence, then they compare their actions to a passage of the bible where God asks a man to kill his own son for justification of those actions. I can't tell where the irony ends and the hypocrisy starts.

First, it's simply a book. It can be replaced and besides if whatever god you believe in as all around and hears everything. Then do you really need a book to communicate with said deity residing above you?

Second, I propose we burn the Christian Bible on the same day. Better yet let's get one copy of each religions bible, douse in Gas, and light on fire. That way we are not picking on one specific religion but all.
