A little teaser from Dirt TV ahead of the much-anticipated Val Di Sole showdown between Gee Atherton and Greg Minnaar.

I'm putting my streak on the line and saying Greg - even though Gee won Worlds here in 2008.

Gee was 5+ seconds up on Greg in 2008. I here the track is different but that's a lot of time to find. Either way I'm not that fussed as long as Brendan gets a top 5.

Big bike course, I'm sure the V10 will fly here. Gee wants it bad this year though and I think he's more willing to hang it out. This may suit someone that's more balls out and willing to lay off the brakes though, so maybe Brendog will get the top step. The top step could be any of the following: Brendan, Minnaar, Gee, Blenki, Gwin. I think Gwin could have a good shot if it's fast, dry and dusty as that's the sort of conditions that he's used to.

I'm not sure Fairclough has the strength to hold it together all the way down like the big boys do.

Pretty much nobody has the strength of Gee and Greg. Brendan only gets close by being the best bike handler on the planet. That said, I don't think he'll be as close as Champery as the Val Di Sole track looks a bit lacking in turns but we'll see.

It's been wet at every race except ft. william, and the tracks haven't been pedal fests. He just had a baby as well. Him, not his wife, that's how it's done in Australia, so he's probably a little sore. Anyway, hopefully he pulls one together, but all the young rippers are showing the new school skills. Just look how different the top ten is this year from last.

You forget Hill CRUSHED everyone (at least up until the second to last corner) here at worlds a few years ago, and he isn't exactly a powerhouse.

I want Blinky, or Brendog to win. Gee would be cool, or Gwin or even Hannah as long as it's not Minnar. The big question though is where the heck is Peat?
