Banshee Rampant Pivot Replacement Parts Baggy Problem
I do not know the actual name for it, but the little bag of spare plastic pivot pieces and bolts that came with the frame when I bought it, are the wrong size, wich I probably should have checked before I hammered the old ones out but I thought it would fit.
The Baggy comes with 2 normal sized plastic pivot pieces, two larger plastic pivot pieces, 1 smaller sized bolt, 1 larger bolt and two of the little grease hole things. As it turns out the two larger plastic pieces are larger than the ones that were on my frame, and do not fit in the frame to replace the old ones. Their inner diameter matches the inner diameter of the hole they're supposed to go into, so no matter what I do they are not going to fit properly. The bolts also looked small too and I checked them in the main rod piece and the larger bolt fits in the smaller rod, but the smaller bolt doesn't fit anything, it's just a little bolt that doesn't fit my bike. Was this just a mistake or am I supposed to microwave the plastic pieces till they fit and soak the bolts in water until they grow big and fit? I sort of wrecked the old plastic pieces trying to get them out so I'm not happy , what do I do?

i happen to have a couple aftermarket kits here. one on the right is for the main pivot (bigger diameter) and the one on the left is everything else. Are you sure you've worked out which pieces go where?

LBS had some so I'm good now, but even he thought it was odd I had that size bushing, because he couldn't think of a bike that would take it.
Edit: Yeah I worked out wich pieces go where, I got some pics one sec. |

Those were a year on a four inch bike with a ton of whistler abuse, so they're pretty good

Just want to give a big thanks to Trident, especially since you found me on this forum, I didn't have to re explain my story or make a bunch of phone calls. I went into my LBS on Teusday around 12:30 and got the phone call today around 12:30 saying my parts had just came in. Painless! Thanks alot guys

Weird... I'm sorry about that. Not sure what happened there, as I've never speced that size bushing on any frame. I'll be looking into this.
The Trident guys are good guys, and it is good to see that they got on the case. Thanks guys!
