Oh my god. really? I'm STOKED about this
Pink Starfish is one of my favourite trails, will be good to see it get some lovin.
Jerry Rig...never ridden it for the reasons they have stated, stoked to see what they come out with.

As for Air Supply though, not sure how I feel about that. Is it just me or is that trail a bit Sentimental to all of us? We all ride up, look at that stuff and shake our heads, and occasionally venture inwards to discover the depths of what was old school North Shore. It's a relic...something that i dont think should be replaced, not to mention the line isn't all that great anyways...

Bobsled...meh, dont care, super easy anyways haha

I dunno a couple of laps of a super flowy bobsled would be a good way to waste half an hour, i see visions of a proper bobsled run but made of dirt

It all sounds positive though.

Compared to 5 years ago, we are in Utopia. I wonder how long the money is going to last?

This is all good news. Those decomissioned stunts and trails need some serious TLC to bring them back to their former glory. All good news in my book I'll look forward to what the DNV and the NSMBA come up with.

The downside to having a trail system legitimized & preserved is that woodwork needs to be built to the standard of a public park. When stuff is rotted or rickety, it's gotta go. It sometimes sucks, but it's also awesome. More awesome than sucky.

This is a paradigm shift, for sure. Hopefully it's the start of something really good.

This makes me very nervous. TLC is great but not at the expense of the historically more challenging trails if they're being simplified in the process.

What can users of the Fromme trail system do to be involved in this process? Are there (were there) any public consultations planned BEFORE anything is committed to?

Is the recently chainsawed woodwork on Air Supply going to be simply left where it fell or is it going to be cleaned up?

please please please use unmilled (ie. hand-split) cedar for all the woodwork.
dimensional lumber is ugly, not to mention traction-less.
the last thing the north shore needs is what the rest of the world calls "north shore" trails (ie. goofy "stunts" made with 2x4's and treated wood).

i hope it doesn't look like the bike park in the end!

does this mean no more dorps to falt on starfish?

Everywhere in the world should be set up like this. Bike associations that work together with the region and riders and everyone else you have to work with to make it all work.

BC rocks!!! Your local trails have more work on them then any bike park in europe.

Keep givin er nuts!
