Hi,
Today, while just riding along, the bottom cartridge bearing on my Cane Creak integrated headset fell apart. Does anyone know where I might find a replacement in the Vancouver area? I dunno exactly what model headset it is, but it's the stock Cane Creek from an 08 Giant Reign X. The bearing itself says 'TH Industrues 1-1/8" ACB 36˚x45˚873#' Thanks! CRC that's where I got the top bearing for mine. after that Robot guy f-ed mine up.
you'll have to figure out which are the correct ones: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/S...rch=cane+creek http://www.canecreek.com/component-headsets

I managed to get the bearing back together, but the rubber seal on top is messed up and there's one ball missing. I put everything back on my bike with the busted bearing on top because it seems to me there would be less stress up there. Feels solid enough to ride while I'm waiting for a new bearing to arrive from CRC. Or some closer supplier if I can find one.
Thanks for the suggestion. -G |
