Well - went for a ride yesterday, but it wasn't quite what I had envisioned. Dropped into Taws (one of two LBS's) and the guy at the counter connected me with a local - some 19 year old kid. He told me the meet him at Valentine Mountain to try some local trails. Turns out he wanted to show me the local DH training runs!

It was still fun, although chasing him down the mountains on my little, pinner Spitfire while he cruised on a Rockey Switch with a 66 left me feeling a little old and slow...the trails were pretty loose, but lots of fun with really good flow. Might have to bring the Scythe next time...
