Yeah Bobsled is all about strength and speed and mass. In essence teh guys pushing need to be as big and fast as possible. Claiming Jesse has only been training 11 months is misleading since the guy has been training to be big and fast most of his life.

I used to train at the same gym as a lot of bobsledders and it is basically wind sprints and squats so a running back is a great guy for this sport. The actual act of sitting in the back of the bobsled was all he needed to really add.

ever tried controlling the movement of a sled with only your legs while you're having to deal with 4g's crushing down on you at 140kph? yeah, no athletic component there at all.

luge, skelton guys pull 4-5g in the corners. takes alot of strength to keep your head up, your body in check and maintain concentration. I've never luged before but this is a simple conclusion.

I understand the sprint portion of skeleton is highly important, but not in luge.

4+ G's in the corners keeping your head up looking forward...no strength needed
there. Oh, while you're trying to steer the thing as it's being hurled 90mph down
the ice. I bet any one of us would have the back of their head plastered to the
ice in those turns.

Feet and Meters work for me just fine. I can even figure out kph pretty fast (just
divide by 2 and add a bit). The temp thing doesn't do it for me. There's just not
enough of a difference between water freezing and water boiling 100 C instead
of 180 for Fahrenheit to accurately figure out how cold/hot if feels without going
into decimals.

But working with vessel stability the metric system is the way to go.

hey i got a brilliant idea.
lets have a temprature scale system where like 32 degrees is the freezing point of water. and the boiling point is like 212. yeah thats way better than 0 and 100.
