Gamut dual ring vs. Blackspire Stinger & C4 Bashguard

So I did test ride an Enduro recently which comes the new Gamut dual ring guide. I was fairly impressed with the guide, no noise and flawless operation. However

1.) I can't really order one anywhere

2.) If the pricing is in line with e13, its more than twice as much as the Blackspire combo.

So I actually have heard only good stuff about the Stinger, but how does it compare regarding noise level? Anyone tried one with 22/36 chainring combos? If I go for blackspire, I'd go for

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...x?ModelID=5357

and

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=17282

Any opinions one the above questions?

Cheers

Stinger is fine. It's dead simple and does what it needs to. I have been running the Gamut dual for a while now and actually think it works better. The only thing I recommend is putting lock-tight on the roller set screw. I lost a roller but Gamut replaced it within days.

If you are price concious the Stinger is your ticket, I run it and it works flawlessly. If you want to spend money get the Gamut.

No idea on the Gamut, but I think I paid $65 for the Blackspire combo @ my local shop.

black spire works just fine. the gammut concept is exactly the same (that of using a bash ring and a chain tensioner/roller)

Stingers work, require little to no maintenance, are quiet, easy to mount, readily available and cheaper than anything else out there. Like it was already mentioned, the only reason to buy anything else is because you want a different brand label on a part noone will see, or you just like spending more money.

or the stinger doesn't fit, like on my Rune. then you get an E13 DS.
